What am I supposed to do, now? (mvn08)

Well, I never thought I would say this, but I am lost. I was put into group 2 green with two other members which is a great idea since we have so much in common, but it seems that the blind are leading the blind. Maybe it would be wiser to place newbies with more experienced SL members.

Hi there! So blind guiding the blind! I am not the coordinator of your group, but I'm very happy to give some help.
And indeed your suggestions for mixing up more and less experienced users has been taken into account and groups will be completely reorganised since we are back in January.
Best,
Marga

Hi Nellie,
It might be useful to talk a little about this. There are many issues involved. There is a thread in the Section 3 Activity 5 relating to collaboration.
But could you say more about being lost, is it the nature of the activity, the subject matter, something else?

Dear Nick,
I would love to talk about not knowing what's next. I am constantly going into Muvenation Island and other places. I have been to the fashion show and invited some friends to join me as we danced the night away. However, I go into SL, meet people, talk, take lessons (I took a Spanish lesson), but I am not sure whether I am on the right track. I need a list of activities to know whether I have done them or not. Does my sense of loss make sense? Perhaps I am not explaining myself clearly enough.

Well, it sounds to me like you are getting familiar with the tool, which is good. In the end that is the objective of the first Module, which is now ending. But that may seem a little undirected. (Obviously there are useful reflections there about how we organise educational activity using this tool, how much do we need to direct?) I can understand that you are champing at the bit, ready to get into the details of the educational part. How has it been during this final section 3. Have you found interesting sites? If you have commments about that, it might be interesting for you to participate in the threads in the Activity 5 forum.
Lastly I would be interested to know more about what you mean by a list of activities. The description of Section 3 on the Moodle site is a list of activities of activities that you should carry out. Is there something missing there?
